• Dental Caries Prevention

  • Brush and floss has been our marching orders for over 25 years. It is not working........... All of the creative and enticing marketing for processed/fast foods, snacks, soda pop, energy drinks and sports drinks have dramatically changed the oral and general health of the population. Food and beverages laden with fat, sugar, synthetic sugar substitutes and stimulants previously considered an episodic treat are now part of the daily diet. This has lead to obesity, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, sky rocketing Type 2 diabetes (especially in children) and significant increase in dental cavities.

That is the bad news. The good news is that this problem is controllable by going back to the basics. Fresh organic fruits, vegetables and grains. What to drink? Water, almond milk, herbal tea, a fresh fruit or vegetable smoothie. A home juicer is a fabulous way to get quick nutrients into the body. What a great way to start the day! We often hear "eating healthy is so expensive." Our answer? Not eating healthy is far more expensive and harmful to your health and your teeth.
